Anna I Belknap (b. August 9, 2656) is Empress of Pontesi. Her father was Prince Karl of Pontesi, from the House of Belknap, and her mother was Lady Rachel Shaws.
History[]
Early Life[]
Born and raised in exile, Anna is educated at Kassel and the University of Husltria. Anna is possessed of a quick intelligence. She took an interest in science and technology. As a member of the Royal house of Belknap, she also exposed from an early age to the military society of the Pontesian aristocracy. This had a major impact on her political ideal.
Next to the throne[]
The Pontesian Emperor in Exile Andrew I died on 9 March 2685, his 29-year-old niece succeeded him as Pontesian Empress. Her first act as Empress is to appoint Valentina Metrace, leader of the Democrat Party as governer genearl in a hope of returning to Pontesi to reclaim her grandfather throne.
Fleur De Lis Revolution[]
In 2688, the Democrat Party restored Anna to her throne in a bloodless revolution known as the Fleur De Lis Revolution. For two years from August 21, 2688 to June 31 ,2690, Pontesian Nobility enjoy a brief return to power. The restoration failed due to opposition by the Communist and Islamist extermist, and the decisive turn around of another party, Free People Party. In mid-July, the streets of Lerna were full of protestors after the government expel Anna from the country.
Anna fled from the Imperial Palce in Lerna in 2690.
2nd Revolution[]
On October 31, 2703, Anna was restored by the Monarchist Coalition as the Empress of Pontesi, ending the 13 years history of widely opposed Federal Republic.
Personal Life[]
Her Imperial Excellency is married to Lord Charles Tristan and they have one son, Prince Charles. She have been known to enjoy Tennis, Cricket, and Horse Riding. She is also the founder of the Andrea Foundation that is responsible for several humanitarian project in Tadraki and Endlid.
