Black Alorians are an ethnic group in Aloria, comprising about 7 percent of the population.
Origin[]
Black Alorians were sold as slaves to Krentorian and Ultranians plantation owners between the 1600s and up until 1856 when slavery was outlawed by the decree of the King. Nobody really knows where the Blacks came from, but what is for certain is that they wee carried from their homeland through a vast network of international trading.
Persecution[]
Blacks were considered sub-human by a majority of Alorians well into the mid-1900s. Nearly all public amenities in all regions but Sildar were required to be segregated between "whites" and "negros". It was not until the 2098 military coup that Blacks were granted full rights as citizens in all of Alorian, and this was only in return for an overwhelming black support of the coup. Later, the Republic that was set up after much turmoil granted blacks full rights also.
