Cabinet Napoleon II was a cabinet of the Istalian Republic appointed in April 4403 by the President Sante Vespa-Baldassare and which gained the confidence of the Parliament in July thanks to the external support of the Republican Party.
The cabinet was the second one led by Alba Napoleon, from the Union of Liberal Democrats, and was formed by exponents of Radical Alliance, Democratic Front and Progressive Democratic Party.
The decision of President Vespa-Baldassare to appoint once again Napoleon as Prime Minister and to form a new Grand Coalition Government with forces of center-left, unleashed the protest by part of the Istalian National Party, the largest of the nationalist parties present into the Parliament at the time. The National Party heavily criticized the Head of State because the latter refused to appoint the government proposed by the nationalists, claiming to be able to assure a stable majority better than the ULD. However, the President clearly expressed his preference in working with a new grand coalition between liberals and progressives, which furthermore could better responded to the will of the President to continue to face the Saridan's crisis, while the nationalists already expressed their isolationistic position and their opposition to the conflict with Saridan. The PNI arrived even to propose a reform of the system of Government in favor of a return to the Parliamentarism, a reform, however, supported only by PNI, LDPI and MUPI.
