The Empire of Narikaton and Darnussia (END) is a nation located in the south western part of Artania but three of its states are islands and are in the shores of Majatra. It originated from United Republic of Narikaton and Darnussia called Darnussia, but became the an Empire due to the monarchist uprising after the crowning of Empress Antoniette I.

[edit] Beginning of a Civilization
The first people that settled in the area now known the United Republic consisted of many different ethnic groups. The most dominant ethnic group was the Semitic peoples and they ruled from the Island of Narikaton. They followed the religion of Judaism and called them selves Narikatonites. The Narikatonites were different then normal Jews at the time as the Narikatonites combined pagan Gods with the Judaism religion. In the years of 550-564 there was a mass exodus of Jews leaving Darnussia via sail boats and they sailed to modern day Beiteynu. Some Jews stayed in Darnussia because it was already an established place with agriculture and fishing.
By the year 615 the Jews who stayed behind had blended in with the Narikatonites and soon their religion did not resemble Judaism but just another pagan cult. The people living there became less religious and focused more on life and on themselves. In 775 respected nobles from Darnussia appointed a leader to lead the peoples of all Darnussia regardless of ethnicity. War of Narikatonite Succession would erupt between different men who wanted to be crowned King, in the end Darntus the Flying was crowned King of the Darnussians. King Darntus I named his country and countrymen Darnussians after himself. Few years later he joined the mainland areas into the kingdom in Unification War of Darnussia.

Once King Darntus I was crowned King he rewarded every Darnussian man a cow and every Darnussian women with a Chicken. These reforms were recieved well by the public and King Darntus maintained high morale everywhere. Near the end of his long reign it is said that King Darntus I became insane and he tried to jump off a large temple so he could prove to everyone that he could fly, he hit the ground and died. The nobles appointed King Darntus's son King Darntus II to be his successor.
King Darntus II was widely known to be the opposite of his father, he ruled with an iron fist and his many reform policies failed. King Darntus II in a last attempt to recharge his failing Kingdom enslaved the small Jewish population. Darntus II ruled for 23 years in tell he was killed by a Jewish Women who he tried to rape. The Kingdom of Darnussia would be ruled by different Kings for many years.
[edit] Christian Influence
Large amounts of Darnussians were following different pagan religions, this caused conflict among the Darnussians and different pagans went to war with each other claiming their religion was supieror. In an attempt to reconcile and unify the country King Simon III declared Christianity the official religion of Darnussia. Mass conversions both voluntarily and forced conversations took place. The devout pagans found comfort in this new religion as Christianity had a "Trinity". The Jewish population were allowed to stay Jewish but they had to only practice their religion in secret and many chose to do this. Others fled to the Far East.
[edit] Brief Revolution
During the 18th century there was a large uprising that took place all over Darnussia. Darnussia was in a massive famine and the workers were getting angry at the King and the Nobles. This lead to what is now known in Darnussian History as the Brief Revolution. The reason it is called the Brief Revolution is because the workers and the peasants for a brief period time overthrew the monarchy of Darnussia. The revolution was lead by three men who formed a Triumvirate. The three men were Carlo Abruzzi, Aurelio Sasperi, and Moshes Federer. The men declared Darnussia a Republic and declared that every men had individual rights. The Triumvirate passed popular legislation to eliminate burdensome taxes and to give work to the unemployed. The revolution only lasted 345 days because the King with assistance from different countries and mercenaries led an army against the Darnussian Republic and successfully restored order to the Monarchy. After the Brief Revolution the men who formed the Triumvirate were arrested but later released for unknown reasons.
[edit] Last King of Darnussia
The last King of Darnussia was King Cecil I. It is a widely reported fact that Cecil I was indeed a homosexual and his frequent gay orgies angered the Christian population of Darnussia. Cecil I declared Darnussia a secular state in 1966. What happened next was a bizarre twist of events then eventually led to the downfall of the Darnussian monarchy. King Cecil I was in his Royal Palace watching explicit men doing explicit things. The next day Cecil I would wound up in a river with his private parts shoved in his mouth, it is widely believed that Cecil's bodyguards were the ones who killed Cecil I.

In 2124 the government of Beiteynu declared war upon Darnussia, they claimed that Darnussia was stockpiling weapons of mass destruction. They also claimed that the Jewish population living in Darnussia were being oppressed. A eventual stalemate occurred between the Darnussian forces and the Beitenyuanse forces with neither side obtaining victory. Taken from History of Beiteynu: After 26 years of the stalemate in 2150 the Chief Rebbe called for the complete capitulation of Darnussia and the remainder of the army was sent to the islands. This included conscripting all men over the age of 19 to the army. Sensing this Darnussian government immediately sent telgrams to both Pontesi and Barmenistan to form a three nation alliance against Beiteynu. Pontesi and Barmenistan invaded from the south and with the army all fighting on the islands they were able to capture the bottom half of the nation. The Chief Rebbe panicked and ordered all troops to return to mainland Beiteynu leaving the islands easy for Darnussia to reclaim. However by now the Pontesi-Barmenistan alliance had grown too strong and with the Darnussians pushing from the north the entire nation was occupied within four years. The three nation alliance to enable easy governance divided the nation into three zones with Barmenistan taking Quo'gün and Padrilka , Darnussia taking Endlid and Fruskila and Pontesi taking Tadraki. Each nation appointed an army commander to oversee their respective zone and all were governed by military rule.

By far the biggest attempt to end Deltarian rule was the Revolution of 2323 however this ended in failure as many Darnussians died and Red Stad was hit by a nuclear weapon.

Violence has occured in street protests as the National Socialist Party of Darnussia and disenfranchised voters have led protests in the capital region of Kodstad and the city of Red Stad since May 2323. The violence resulted in the deaths of 10 people including the deaths of 3 NSPD supporters and after early elections in 2323. The elections in october resulted in the Deltarian supported party getting into power with 75 seats in a contested and highly fradulent election. Immediate reaction to the election resulted in the destruction of 20 buildings and 200 cars in the capital of Red Stad and the deaths of at least 8 more people including several government police officers.
The NSPD or Nationalist Socialist Party of Darnussia wants the Deltarians to leave and let the nation be alone. They are not afraid to continue the protests until the Deltarians are removed from power in Darnussia, even if it kills more people. Street protests have spread to the region of Nihaton. This revolution may be successful.
Violence has spread and have left nearly 70 people had been killed. In a certain development Jose Buji the educational critic against he Darnussia government were executed by government agents.
Violence resulted in the destruction of the capital of Darnussia and killed 30,000 people in continued barrages of lethal chemical weapons. The rebels now control a province and the three year old conflict as of May 2326 has left nearly 75,000 people dead. The NSPD have proposed a ceasefire that would have a referendum held in 2235 to decide what should happen to Darnussia, and it hopes that at that point in time that its party and another party will have control of the country and take it out of Deltarian clutches.
Right now, 4.5 million people are displaced in Darnussia, nearly 500,000 of those in international countries, 30,000 in Malivia to the south.

The rulers of Darnussia, Deltársky Kuklaci, finally left the country in 2338. This was the first stage of Independence. Still under occupation, Darnussia became free from Imperial Parties. In Febuary 2351, the Occupational Government voted to leave the country. Finnaly, independence was gained.
[edit] The Second Civil War

After being an independent nation for almost 200 years, the state of Narikaton, unusually isolated from the rest of Darnussia, declared it's independece as the Narikaton Empire. Nihaton and Clenon joined Narikaton and soon began threatning Darnussia's freedom. Darnussia and Narikaton declared war on each other and war ensued. 5 other international forces became involved and both sides battled each other to exaution. The Darnussian Democratic Republic finally surrendered, and negotiations began. It was finally agreed that the Narikaton Empire and the Darnussian Democratic Republic would come together as one and become the United Republic of Narikaton and Darnussia.

Imperial Society is under authoritarian command of it's leading party, Imperial Liberation Army, that is driven by monarchist and authoritarian agendas. Military, police and political institutions are under their direct control, but everything is also open for other political parties. Empress herself does not actively prticipate in national politics, even though she is the highest authority in entire nation. Imperial Viceroy is the main political figure in the Empire, but even he has to submit in empresses will. Imperial Viceroy leads the Imperial Council, the parliamentary organ of the Empire, which is open to all political parties. Currently ILA holds supreme majority in the Imperial Council and through that, dictates the political decissions in the Empire.
[edit] Geography
The United Republic was once almost completely covered with forest, but thousands of years of civilisation had it's toll on the nature and have changed it radically. Most of the old forrest were cut down to build houses and ships to sail over the Migrant's Pass. There are three major rivers in the UR's mainland. The Crow is largest of them if counted with the amount of water and it flows from the Great Lake of Alkavon to the Bay of Migrant. Ghacrow, the once-largest city in the UR was built at it's delta. Redriver is the strongest and broadest of Darnussian Rivers and it goes through New Parts of Red Stad and flows to Bay of Migrant. The third large river is Cerrot River that flows from Malivia to Bay of Migrant. There are also Alkavon Mountains at the very border of Alkavon and Beluzia.
Other parts of the UR consist mainly from the two islands at Migrant's Pass, Island of Narikaton and Island of Shirmania. Both of the islands have high mountains and they are relatively far from the mainland, which once caused some cultural differences between the mainland Darnussians and the Darnussians of Jewish Descent in the islands. There are also smaller islands at the middle of the Inner Sea of Darnussia known as the Migrant Islands. They are relatively small and are considered being part of Nihaton.

[edit] Alkavon
Alkavon is one of the two mainland Duchies of the UR and it is also the most populated part of the entire country. The ex-largest city in Darnussia, Ghacrow, is also in Alkavon (it was destroyed during the 2nd Civil War). The population in Alkacon consists mainly from Darnussians of Non-Jewish Descent and Lusitânians. People in Alkavon have somewhat conservative views, but they are not as religious as many other Darnussian conservatives are. Majority of Alkavon could be described as Moderate Liberals.

Clenon is the 2nd largest Duchy in the UR and it's capital is Podrueja. Most of the people in Clenon are Darnussians of Jewish Descent and Judaism is strong in southern parts of the state. Majority of people of Clenon are very conservative and religious and they believe in strong military.

Narikaton is one of the richest regions in the United Republic, but they also have the largest unemployment rate. Most of the Darnussians in Narikaton are of Non-Jewish Descent, but Judaism is also strong there. They are mildy secular in their religious views, but at the same time very restrictive in civil rights. The capital of Narikaton (and Darnussia) is Merenbürg. Narikaton is the strongest Duchy, with nearly all of the power of the nation. This was recieved during the Civil War.

Nihaton is the richest part of the UR and the core of the Darnussian Islands. Nihaton's capital is Moete. People in Nihaton are not right- or leftwing and they could be described as Moderate Capitalists. Half of the Darnussians in Nihaton are of Jewish Descent and half are not, so Judaism is strongly represented in Nihaton. In general people of Nihaton are secular-leaning. Most of the Deltarian Minority lives in Nihaton.

Majority of Kozarians are generally progressive, but restrictive in civil rights. They are slightly religious and capitalist. Most of Kozarians are Darnussians without any Jewish heritage and mainly neither Catholic or atheist. There is also major Hobrazian minority in Kozaria. The capital of the state is Red Stad and the destroyed city, Doressa, is also in Kozaria. Kozaria is one of the most divided areas in the United Republic, from extreme right-wing nationalists to traditional communists.

The United Republic is the newest nation in Terra. Despite this, there are still hundreds of years of culture and politics behind it.

UR culture is extreamly different between ethnic groups. However, this article will concentrate on Darnussian's, the UR's largest ethnic group. Some Darnussians are Catholic whether they are apart of the Terren or Orthodox Catholic Church. Darnussians are often against large immigration from foreign countries, as the Darnussians have been quite xenophobic because of the so many foreign powers that have conquered them. There has also been a growing amount of Jewish Culture influencing both practicing Jews in Darnussia and even non Jews. The Darnussians heavily relied on fishing to support their country and themselves.

When the Kingdom of Darnussia imposed Christianity as the state religion, they became one of the earliest pagan nations to adopt Christianity. In doing so, the large Catholic majorities exist because of when Christianity was imposed as the State Religion. About 49-50% of Darnussians identify themselves as Christians. Thus Christianity acts as a strong influence on people’s daily lives.
Going further back into history, Darnussia was founded by pagans, Jews, and pagans who held some Jewish ideals. Thus there is a large Jewish minority living in Darnussia, most are ancestors of those who lived in the ancient era others are refugees from Beiteynu. Many of the Darnussian Jews follow Messianic Judaism, a view that holds Jesus as the Messiah. Other Jews in Darnussia do not consider Messianic Jews real Jews, instead follow Orthodox Judaism.

Darnussian food is very old, the cuisine dates back to the 15th century. The Darnussians are famous for their unique dishes; they frequently use many recipes involving fish and salt.

Like in any country, sports have always been popular in the UR. Despite rugby being the official sport, it is not the most popular. Some of the most popular sports include Soccer, Football (Gridiron), Hockey, and Basketball. The UR also have a national football team. They will be entering in the next world cup.

The United Republic is a politically neutral nation, which will not participate in any international war, unless under direct attack.
