Deims is a twin-city, and capital of the région of Tondola in the nation of Kanjor. It is divided between Port Munodi and Deims, two cities that were merged to form the current city. It is the largest city and key port of Tondola.

[edit] Geography
The city is divided into two parts, the inland Deims, and the harbour of Port Munodi. The division is caused by the sharp Munodi hills, which rise steeply behind the port. This gives the harbour region little land, and is the cause for the larger city of Deims.
The hills and the curve of the harbour provide a natural weather defence, and make a safe haven for shipping in bad storms. However, the narrow opening can be treacharous for larger ships, and as such the port has not been as able to accommodate more modern shipping.
Over the hills lies the Deims plains, with the Roi Richard River curving its way across them. Most of the city lies on the plains, with the central district positioned on the river loop. The plains provide Tondola with much of its food and other agricultural products. The climate is colder on average than in most other parts of the nation, but still has hot summers and short, wet winters.
[edit] History
The city is the oldest on Tondola, as was for a long time the only major habitated place in Tondola. The city was merged during the Interregum, but has never really played a major part in Kanjorien history.
