Diego Zanon

Diego Zanon was born in 2389 in the Kivonah Estado Federado. Drawn into politics by his father, a factory worker, Diego frequented the picket lines and protests even from a young age. Upon finishing high school he joined his father as a factory worker while taking night classes at a local college. He also played a major part in the factory union where his enthusiasm and eloquence marked him out as a strong leader.

After the closure of the factory in 2416 he moved fully into the political arena helping found Trabajo y Libertad. Shortly before the elections in 2419 he was nominated as party leader and spokesman of the TyL national council.

In 2419, aged 30, his Trabajo y Libertad party became the majority party in Davostan. This was followed up 2 years later as the TyL increased their lead and Diego Zanon was elected Presidente. However after the assassination of Jose Luis Ferrer in 2423 Trabajo y Libertad withdrew from politics and Zanon resigned from the post of Presidente. However after Trabajo y Libertad's return in 2429 just in time for new elections Zanon was reinstated as Presidente largely due to the support of the surprisingly successful Junta Coordinadora Revolucionaria.

At a rally in 2434 in Dakruth City Diego Zanon was involved in a rally which turned violent. He was arrested and later died in police custody.
