Dirguzia (FUK)
From Particracy Wiki
- For the traditional Kirlawan region, see Dirguzia.
Dirguzia was a province of the Free Union of Kirlawa. It was the smallest province of the Free Union of Kirlawa, with a population of approximately 2.1 million (Census 2350). It compromised the south of Dirguzia, specifically the area that was held by Brentwood Industries and Angelis following the push to hold the area.
[edit] Geography
Dirguzia covered an approximate area of 34,000 km sq, just over a quarter of the total land of the Dirguzian region. The area was mainly made up of flat plains in the north and far south, with fields and greenery focused in the south and central areas. There were few major cities in the region - the main population centre was Chrisalya and surrounding areas, with approximately half of the population living in that city. Outside of this area there were mainly villages and small towns, with no major (above 100,000 population) cities apart from the capital.
[edit] Economy
Dirguzia was generally a moderately wealthy area - therewas a strong focus on high-tech industries, with Brentwood Industries a major supplier of jobs in the region. Other defence and technology industries were also centred in Dirguzia, including Tranch Weaponry and Rauyga Group. In the countryside, farming provided the most jobs and money, with wheat, corn and carrots the main produced and exported things.
[edit] Government
Dirguzia formed part of the Free Union of Kirlawa as a province, and as such had its own provincial assembly (Dirguzia Provincial Parliament) which run affairs in the province, as well as local councils (there were twenty-eight councils - five borough, one city and twenty-two district). It was dissolved into Dirguzia in 2369.
