Dirlana (FUK)
From Particracy Wiki
- For the traditional Kirlawan region, see Dirlana.
Dirlana is a province of the Free Union of Kirlawa. It is the second-smallest province of the Free Union of Kirlawa, with a population of approximately 8.9 million (2350 Census). It compromises the western half of Dirlana under democratic rule as agreed under the Four State Solution of 2337 following the Kirlawan Civil War.
[edit] Geography
Dirlana covers an area of approximately 65,000 sq km, about half of the total Dirlanan region's area. The province tends to be quite green throughout, with more greenery and some small forests in the north and less greenery down in areas of the south. The region contains four major cities - West Nisira, Kirlawa, Brase Lake, Fanas and Ampton - plus a number of minor ones with population densest in the north especially along the shore.
[edit] Economy
Dirlana is fairly average in its wealth, with moderate amounts of income across the board. The area bases a lot of economy on service industries, with numerous other sectors of importance. Much food is processed such as bread and vegetable products in the towns and cities of the south (including Fanas and Ampton). There is also increasingly in the south mining of some clothing materials such as cotton and wool, as well as a few mining industries in the centre-south.
[edit] Government
Dirlana is a province of the Free Union of Kirlawa and has its own provincial assembly (Dirlana Provincial Parliament) which runs provincial affairs alongside local councils (borough, city and district). The provincial government at current is a coalition between Angelis and the Free Liberal Party of Kirlawa.
