Ethan Megalos (February 8, 4075 - September 21, 4179 ) was a Selucian politician, formerly the Leader of In Marea Possumus Facere and also former Consul de Popularis de Selucia during 23 years.
Before politics (4075 - 4098)[]
Megalos was born in West Shadar, but he moved to Kal Serathi, where he studied with honours at the Florentia University. He received his degree in law before turning to political science and administration, receiving his licentiate and teaching certificate. Megalos has also obtained a Master of Humanities and a Master of Arts in Communication. During his time at university, he met Athena Scudo and proffesor Kyrian Aetius Flavius.
Megalos positions himself on the left-wing.
Left Council (4098-4100)[]
Megalos met the student Athena Scudo and Kyrian Aetius Flavius in the University de Florentia, and while he was still an undergraduate, they enjoyed having deep conversations about politics. In May 4098, the Left Council movement was founded in the university, integrated by university teachers and students who did not agree with the conservative politics of the current government (Factio Conservativa). Joined under the same motto ("Novus Saeculi, Novas Ideas"), they started formal actions to turn the movement into a legal party, named In Marea Possumus Facere in reference to a mass of people moving forward to get the same, to concur to the 4100 General Elections of Selucia, which they won, getting all the possible seats (750 out of 750).
Leader of In Marea (4100 - 4127)[]
Megalos proposed himself as a candidate for this position in the party after the General Assembly of In Marea was formed, being elected by 8 votes out of 11 against three other candidates. During his leadership, as being the first one, he tried to fix all the laws and structure of the party.
Consul de Popularis (4100 - 4119, first period)[]
After the victory in the 4100 elections, he became the new Consul de Popularis of Selucia, the first of the century. During his terms, no other party presented alternative candidates for the position, due to the increasingly popularity of Megalos. He worked with his former teacher Flavius from 4100 to 4109. However, in the last term (4115-4119), he had to work with a Caesar de Senatum from Traditio et Honorem, a conservative party. Howver, both of them managed to work excellent.
Consul de Popularis (4123-4127, second period)[]
During his second period he was more reflexive and not as active as in the first one, which caused the loss of credibility and confidence of Selucians in him, being finally defeated in the 4127 Selucian elections.
He decided to retire from politics after 4127, in a press conference where he was clearly affected.
