The UPSD is a national party organization which operates in the Free Republic of Dorvik. The organization acts as a unity coalition between the Dorvish People's Revolutionary Party (DPRP), the Green Socialist Collectives (GSC) and the Republic of Dorvik Free Party (RDFP). Since it's creation in 2716 the UPSD has won 21 out of the last 23 national elections.

The UPSD headquarters is located in the city of Citadel in the district of Largonia. The DPRP traditionally has been based in Citadel and Largonia has a long history of socialist support, making the city an ideal location. The building was erected in 2716 shortly after the original formation of the UPSD and was built to specific instructions to maximize the compounds security. The site is off limits to most citizens with security measures including multiple checkpoints at all entrances, military patrols around the compound and a large deployment of soldiers who live on site.
