Conservative Union (DSU+HSU+LIB)(Dundorfian: Konservative Union), was a political party in Dorvik. It was founded in 4141 as a result of a merge of Dorvisch Soziale Union, Hosian Democratic Union and Liberals. The party became the strongest and largest conservative party in Dorvik. Along with the Libertarian Party and Traditionalist Party of Dorvik it formed Union of Dorvisch Consveratives and after the Progress Party left the Alliance for Democracy and re-branded into Progress Democrats along with the Libertarian Party it formed Conservative & Centrist Coalition in 4163. In 4191 C&C Coalition was replaced by a new aliance formed by the KU, FD and the Pragmatic Party - the United Right. On June 13th, 4198, KU leader announced the suspension of KU's membership in the United Right due to the differences in KU and PD agendas and on July 4th the Conservative Union ceased to be a member of the United Right. In 4219 the Conservative Union was disbanded as the result of HSU defection. After the collapse the HSU renamed to HDU (Hosian Democratic Union).
Party Platform[]
Conservative Union was the main conservative party in Dorvik. It continued to carry the hosian democratic policies of the DSU. KU membership consisted however of people adhering to a variety of religions as well as non-religious individuals. As a conservative party, the KU supported stronger punishments for crimes and supported the death penalty. Conservative Union supported involvement of the army in cases of domestic anti-terrorism offensives. In terms of immigrants, the KU supported initiatives to integrate immigrants through language courses, and aimed to further controlled immigration with quotas of immigration. Accordingly to the KU dual citizenship should only be allowed in exceptional cases. The KU emphasizeed curtailing red tape and the preservation of cultural traditions. In case of social policies, the KU opposed abortions on will and supported it only in medical emergencies. The KU opposed euthanasia as the party believes that it devaluates human life. Conservative Union has successfully proposed social welfare programs, with Familianz as a flagship example. Federal Government Welfare Program - Familianz - provides financial and social allowances for families with low-income and for large families.
