The Emperor of Talmoria was the head of state of Talmoria. The Emperor was directly elected by the Senate for life. The role Emperor was largely a ceremonial office, representing the people when undertaking official engagements at home and abroad.
The first Emperor was Federick Zhurinkov, who founded the Roma Imperial Party in 3272, after Talmoria received its independence from the East Terra Company in 3271.
Ordinary Duties and Functions[]
The role of the Emperor of Talmoria was largely a ceremonial one.
All executive authority was expressely vested to the Dictator of Talmoria. Thus, the Emperor was not even a nominal chief executive. However, the Dictator of Talmoria was obliged to keep the Emperor informed on matters of domestic and foreign policy. Most of the functions of the Emperor was only carried out in accordance with the strict instructions of the Imperial Constitution, or the binding 'advice' of the Dictator.

The Emperor formally appointed the Dictator and other ministers, on the advice of the Senate. Ministers were dismissed on the advice of the Dictator.
Signs bills into law[]
The Emperor signed the bill passed by the Senate through Imperial Decree.
Represent the state in foreign affairs[]
The power was only exercised on the advice of the Dictator or the Senate.
Appoints the judiciary[]
The Emperor appointed judges on the advice of the Senate or the Dictator.
