History[]

Colonial Rule[]

Prior to the establishment of native rule in Lourenne, the nation was ruled as a vice royalty of Rildanor. The Monarch of Rildanor, first of the House of Nareath and later d'Orléans-Vasser, appointed a Viceroy of Lourenne, who ruled as governor of the colony.

Split of Lourennian and Rildanorian Thrones[]

HM Queen Thérèse I was peacefully dethroned in Lourenne in 2710 upon her ascension to the Throne of Rildanor. Legislation passed in 2710 narrowed the line of Lourenne to the descendants of Renée d'Orléans-Vasser, leaving Rildanor to be ruled by Léopold, Thérèse's first child, and placed Renée, then 6, on the Throne of Lourenne. Thérèse continued to rule as Regent until her daughter came of age.
