Kennedy VIII's abdication in 2767 and presently rules the country. Due to his alliance with the Jelbanian Conservative Party, the Monarch has enjoyed a one party rule in Jelbania.
Second Japanese Invasion[]
Steven P. Kennedy IX was a founding member of the Second Japanese Invasion that led to the success of the Korasu Party. As a young adult, Kennedy was instrumental in the campaign that ultimately led to his father's return to power in 2739. Unlike previous French Kennedy Monarchs, Kennedy is half Japanese and thus the first biracial Monarch. Due to his Japanese heritage, Japanese art, music, architecture, food, and entertainment were introduced into Jelbania.
Imperial Reign[]
The reign of Steven P. Kennedy IX was relatively peaceful compared to his forefathers, a time of isolation and prosperity. As a result, the Emperor became the most popular although the most unknown of the Kennedy Emperors. The Emperor was also a political strategist and successfully made Jelbania a one party state under the Jelbanian Conservative Party. In addition, Kennedy advanced the Korasu Family to elite status and granted them titles and governance of the coastal territory Rilmos. In 2812, Kennedy died peacefully at the age of 102 making his reign the longest among the Kennedy Emperors. His son, Steven P. Kennedy X would succeed him.
