Funkistan

Funkistan is a district of the province of Vrassa in Kalistan. It is a local government, ruled by a district council, that operates under the Vrassan Assembly. Funkistan is located in northern Vrassa, southeast of Jahmaika, north of Poppistan, and northwest of Monty. Its capital is Funkidelphia.

Funkistan was the center of anarchist activities during the Crisis of 2342. In late 2343, the riots that had begun in Jahmaika spread south into Funkistan, where civilians attacked police stations, courthouses, and any symbol of the government. These attacks, which resulted in two deaths, led the civic officials of the district to flee, with the District Council itself voting in January of 2344 to dissolve until order is reestablished. Taking advantage of the chaos, an Anarchist Militia affiliated with the Kalistani Revolutionary Union entered Funkidelphia and established the Funkistan Commune, led tentatively by Augusto de Fiume. The commune expanded until it covered most of the district by 2343, but began a retreat after that, surrendering Funkidelphia and retreating to a few small farm towns by the next year.
