Guy Grand

Guy Grand is a billionaire CEO in Kalistan, and a regular figure in the nation's politics and culture, as well as a leading figure in the Kalistani Revolutionary Union. He owns Grand Enterprises, the smallest of the big three Kalistani conglomerates, alongside Kalistan Saccharine and Ananto Worldwide Industries. Grand enterprises most of Kalistan's treacle mines, though not the Beefsteak mine, a large portion of Kalistan's treacle and container shipping, as well as having aerospace, automotive, defense, and media divisions. The company is headquarted in Kaliburg, Ananto. Grand Enterprises is traded on the Kaliburg Stock Exchange under the symbol GRE.
As well as managing his corporate holdings, Grand takes an interest in politics, where he has strong anarchist leanings. He is a member of parliament, representing the 17th district of Ananto, the Gold Coast district of Kaliburg. He is perhaps the most active member of the Indirect Action Arm of the Kalistani Revolutionary Union, where he has volunteered to fill a number of prominant positions. His terms in the cabinet have shown him to have a taste for using government for direct action, in his short tenure as Minister of Trade and Industry he convinced fellow KRU Minister of Food and Agriculture to subsidize food in Kalistan so that prices would be halved, leading to hoarding, then shortages, then riots, within one week.
Guy Grand is a bachelor, but has an adopted son, Youngman Grand, who also serves in the Kalistani Parliament, and is a member of the KRU.
