Prime Ministership 3216-3221[]
In the 3216 election, directly after PfI-refoundation, Lazarevas Party could win the absolute majority of seats in the National Assembly. This was due to the grea election campaign of its popular chairman Alexander Svindal. As Svindal was elected President, Lazareva was chosen to become Prime Minister. She included the Labour Party into her cabinet, in order to strengten cooperation and to make majorities comfortabler. Under her leadership the current Constitution of Cobura was developed and passed by 100% of the Assembly. Nevertheless she lost popularity, standing in the shadow of young president Alexander Svindal and due to inner-party conflicts with him. With this conflicts she had to face her first re-election in 3220.
3220 election and Rise of Kim Debkowski[]
This time she led the election campaign together with Svindal and failed. After 50,81% the PfI now only got 12,40 percent of the votes. Many in the party wanted to go into opposition and rebuild the party, but Lazareva fought her party into a cabinet under the leadership of the Social Congress. Lazareva had to stick with the Ministry for Environment, while her friend Kim Debkowski was to take over the position of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister. The focus now was put on Debkowski and it seemed like Lazarevas time was over.
Return as Prime Minister[]
Nevertheless things turned out unexpected. After the 3224 election, where the PfI could slightly win back votes to 16%, but still only finishing fouth of all parties, she was able to form a right-wing coalition with the Conservative Party and the New Peoples Party. Surprisingly Debkwoski rejected becoming Prime Minister, as it became clear she wantedt to become President someday. So Lazareva was elected Prime Minister of this cabinet, although the PfI was weakest party in this coalition. Her negotioation-talent brought the PfI back in charge. She now stayed in power leading this coalition and from 3228 a newly build CCP/PfI cabinet until 3234. She declared before the general election held in 3232 that she was going to retire from politics as soon as a new cabinet would be formed. However this took a lot time. Elections brought no classic coalition to majority of seats, so negotiations were difficult and led to many faliling cabinet proposal. It took 2 years to finally establish a cabinet of CCP+TRP+PLP+PfI which Lazareva then no longer belonged to.
Popularity[]
Compared to the young and dynamic chairman Alexander Svindal, Lazareva never could reach such high popularity. All terms she was less popular than her party, said to be boring and pale. Nevertheless she had the talent to keep the party-factions close behind her, so no real enemy could arise. Just with her retirement her popularity hit its maximum, making her another party-legend.
