Henrietta, Empress of Jelbania

From Particracy Wiki

Henrietta, Empress of Jelbania (2581-) was the wife of Jelbanian Emperor Steven P. Kennedy V and daughter of Hulstrian Kaiser Godric I of Hulstria. She was also a Hulstrian Princess Imperial and Archduchess as well as an Imperial Princess of Perimor. She was of Hulstrian ethnicity and like her husband she was considerably wealthy. Her marriage to the Jelbanian Emperor and her role as Empress was well received by the Jelbanian people.

[edit] Imperial Marriage

The marriage announcement between Emperor Steven and the Protestant Henrietta received a mix reaction from the Selucian Catholic Church whom feared that the Emperor would lose his faith and that his successor would impose Protestant rule. The Emperor assured a congregation of Catholic bishops and priests that he would remain faithful to the Catholic faith and that his heir would certainly be Catholic. The Emperor, however was willing to grant titles to political officials not of the Selucian Catholic faith.

Otherwise, the marriage was well received by the Jelbanian people and the National Assembly who saw the joining as leap forward in Jelbanian standing in the world. The marriage also brought the Kennedy House closer still to the Hulstrian and Luthori Throne.
