The House of Diggory is royal family and claimant to the throne in the Kingdom of Lodamun; the Diggory line is a cadet branch of the House of Rothingren-Traugott. The House of Diggory was originally founded in the late 2700s by Matthew Diggory, naming himself the pretender to the throne of Lodamun as King. Matthew would continue this pretender status until the 2810s-2820s when the Kingdom of Lodamun was established where he was crowned as King Matthew I of Lodamun. He would rule until the mid 2800s when the Monarchy was abolished in favor of the return a Lodamese republic. Matthew I died shortly after; his eldest son, the Crown Prince, died two years earlier and his youngest son a decade before that, creating a male succession deadlock as none of these royals had children. Elizabeth Diggory, Matthew I's daughter, became Queen, and was married; however she had to remarry to another Rothingren-Traugott royal following the death of Karl, Crown Prince of Hulstria, her spouse, and had one child with that other toyal; at the time of her death, she was the only surviving member of the original Diggory line. The current head of the House of Diggory and the pretender to the Kingdom of Lodamun is Matthew IV, a decendent of Alexander I of Hulstria.
