Éagsúila, formerly known as Indrala, is the capital of Kirlawa, located in the Merkan province. It is also the nation's biggest city and holds the title of it's richest city as well. The city was renamed in the early years of the 48th century with the arrival of Joint Proposal to the government, which suggested a name change in order to "adhere to our own language and customs" instead of "sharing the name with a foreign nation". Its name means "Diverse".[1]

Economy[]

Éagsúila is a business oriented city, focused on commerce. In addition to this, it also boasts a large tourism sector, attracting numerous tourists from all over Terra. This can contribute to the fact that Éagsúila is the capital of Kirlawa, and has one of the most magnificent capital complexes in Terra.

Since Éagsúila is home to many wealthy business owners, the city is home to many Kirlawan businesses headquaters, including Kirlawas biggest bank Federation Bank, as well as the Kirlawa Advanced Scientific Research Center.

Politics[]

Éagsúila uses the Kirlawan Tripe Ward System. Its city council is made up of 60 members that manage the city's day-to-day administration. The Éagsúila City Council is lead by a Mayor, elected by a first-past-the-post system.

Indrala uses a three person ward system meaning there are 20 wards that each elect three councilors.

Éagsúila City Council[]

Éagsúila is a strongly progressist city, with all its mayors except for two - 4757-4768 and 4791-4795 - belonging to a progressist party. Standing Left first and later Bright Spring has ruled the city for 57 of the last 83 years, while the Socialist and Democratic Party has ruled the city for 19 years during the same period. The current City Council is solely made up of councillors from Bright Spring, after the conservative People's Party of Kirlawa failed to secure any seats in a single constituency.
