The International Arms Trade Commission (Rodshyan:: Комиссия по международной торговле оружием tr. Komissiya po mezhdunarodnoy torgovle oruzhiyem; Dundorfian: Internationale Waffenhandel Kommission) was created to help manage international arms deals. The IATC, as it is commonly called, was developed over the period of a decade and traditionally has been involved in all arms trades from small arms to major deals for aircraft carriers. The purpose of the IATC is to ensure that all arms deals are done properly and legally, the IATC works to ensure that all arms can be tracked and traced for whatever reason.

The IATC was funded primarily in the beginning by the Collective Security and Cooperation Organization as a means to prevent warfare from spreading. The IATC was officially founded in August 3745 with a former Trigunian military officer at its head. The International Arms Trade Commission is directed by an elected Commissioner who sits at the head of the Board of Commissioners, those who sit on the board are referred to as Deputy Commissioners and hail from a variety of nations throughout the world, namely nations that have large exporting industries. The size of the Board of Commissioners varies from year to year and however many members are elected that year, are elected.
