Kanjor Election 2341

The 2341 Elections for the Confédération des Deux Kanjors was held in April, 2341. It was the first election with the increased Senate size, giving the Kanjoran Senate 225 seats. The Partie Patriotique de Kanjor was the overall winner, but the Industrialist Party made strong gains. The election also featured the début of four new parties.

There were 61,567,042 people with suffrage. A total of 50,045,728 votes have been cast, putting turnout at 81.29%. There were 225 seats being contested, which was 25 more than at the previous election.

The election saw the début of four new parties, more than doubling the number of parties in Kanjor. Despite only making a small impact in the votes, the profiles of these parties are rising, and it is expected that they will make gains in the next elections.
[edit] Outcome
The PPK retained its position as largest party and held the Presidency. However, it lost its majority in the Senate, despite only losing one seat.
The Industrialist Party grew strongly, gaining one seat off both the PPK and the KCTP, as well as gaining all of the 25 new seats. It also won the province of Vagderra from the PPK.
