Hello, and welcome to the Auroria Cartographic Society's Comprehensive Atlas of Terra. This will be the culmination of the efforts of many from all over the world to map this planet we live on. The maps contained herein might be of radically different styles, and they may even blatantly contradict one another. There is a simple reason for this: Each map was created by citizens of its respective country, and countries have the tendency to disagree about things like what an ocean should be called.
As you thumb through these pages, I hope that you will appreciate the sheer magnitude of international cooperation that went into this project.
