The Progress Party (Yingdalan: 进步党, Transliteration: Jìnbù Dǎng) is a democratic socialist political party in Indrala.
Ideology[]
The Progress Party is a broadly democratic socialist party, including politicians from the Left to the Far-Left. Economically, it advocates for direct state investment in the Indralan economy via a government owned central bank, as well as State control of key industries which it deems aren't operating as effectively as possible within a profit based market. It opposes the Kaizhou Healthcare Convention and advocates for the creation of a state run National Health Service free at the point of use.
It supports increased democracy in the workplace in the form of co-operatives, and calls for a strengthening of the Trade Unions to defend worker's rights.
Environmentally it supports a move towards green energy and sustainable development of the economy.
Socially it is progressive, advocating for increased racial and sexual equality, and an end to forms of exploitation and bias in society.
The Progress Party is a Republican party committed to the abolition of monarchical and aristocratic power in Indrala. Although it does not expressly support the end of the empire, it advocates the creation of an Imperial Representative directly elected by the general population, relegating the monarchy to a solely ceremonial role.
