Salubris

Salubris is a city in the People's Republic of Kirlawa. It serves as provincial capital of the province of Uwakah. It has an approximate population of 8.5 million as of the 2341 census. It is the second-biggest city in the country (behind Cadoria).

The city is ran in a two-tier system in regards to local government. Salubris City Council controls pan-city matters, while a number of Salubris Borough Councils control more localised affairs. In general the city politically leans to the left, with the north more moderate than the south. The city is currently a stronghold of the SLP, which has its national headquarters in the city and dominates local politics.

Salubris has a varied economy. There is a strong reliance on secondary industries, with a lot of iron, copper and steel produced in factories within the inner city, with some food products also produced from wheat and some vegetables imported from other areas of southern Uwakah. In recent years, services and infrastructure has become a vital part of the city as increasingly the traditionally poor city, particularly in the inner city, modernises.
