The Socialist Republic of Caille (Caillean: República Socialista de Caille) was a breakaway region of the Republic of Egelion. The republic had limited international recogniztion and was reintegrated into the Republic of Egelion after the Egelion-UKSR War.
History[]
The province of Caille had a long history of supporting communist governments. The Popular Communist Front of Egelion maintained a strong presence in Caille for decades, but soon crumbled after years of failed leadership. The parties supporters did not abandon the cause however, and after no successor party was formed, went underground.
Politics[]
The Socialist Republic of Caille was a single party communist state. The only legal party was the Caille Byltingarkenndur Vörður, or Caille Revolutionary Guard. The government was seperated into the legislature, executive and judicial branches. Parliament was led by the Primer Ministre Popular, or People's Prime Minister. The head of state was known as the President Popular, or People's President. The judiciary, while nominally independant, consisted mostly of military tribunals.
Geography[]
The Socialist Republic of Caille was seperated into 5 political units. Nordland, the capitol, was an independant unit with its own government. Northmoor, Caille's largest city, likewise was an independant unit but had less powers than Nordland. The other three provinces fell along traditional regions in Caille. The province of Landameri boardered Amateria.
