History-section[]
The History-section is getting insanely large and I propose creating a completely new page for History of Darnussia. I'm planning to write down the Beiteynuese-Darnussian War that was fought in 2100's and more about the Deltarian Invasion. I'm also trying to get some sense out of the Lusitânian days, which is hard as most of the information is in portuguese. --Lihamestari 19:58, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
- True. When I filled in the gaps, it bloated the darned thing. And there's still significant wars missing. As far as the Lusitanian stuff goes, I've sort of written it off as a minority takeover resulting from economic chaos - basically tying the blame-the-Jews thing you had going to it. But I've been a bit inconsistent in their origins - you had Lusitania as one of the Narikaton city states, while I had them in Alkavon and perhaps being aboriginal to the Migrant Islands originally. It could all still fit if they were early seafarers, and had a presence on Narikaton and Shirmania in prehistory, but were essentially crushed on the former by Darntus, and assimilated by the Semites in the latter. I don't think we'll ever get a truly accurate picture of what was really going on then, as the events sorta don't fit - suddenly everyone spoke Portuguese, then suddenly they didn't again. The only solution I could think of was massive social upheaval (probably economic, as it was during a democratic era) leading to a takeover, and once the takeover was in place, they held the tiger by the neck for a while till the Deltarian's smashed em.
- As far as a separate History of Darnussia page, I think that's probably a good idea - we can pare the main page's history section down to barebones of "Prehistory; Semites, Kozarians and maybe Lusitanians, Unification War, Kingdom, Most Serene Republic, Age of Chaos (Lusitania, Deltaria, Great Darnussian Republic, and Hobrazian Protectorate), Age of Doressa (1st DDR), Second Civil War, Modern" Surprise Party 08:25, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
- It was never clear to me where the Lusitanians came from either, but the idea of them being from the Migrant's Islands is more than great. Actually, I have always placed them in Alkavon too. Back in the Language Dispute Days (somehwere in the late 2500's before the Civil War) we agreed that Lusitan was an official minority Language in Alkavon. I think I can dig the proposal up: [1] . Placing the Lusitanian Rebels in the War of Narikatonite Succession really has no base information behind it. The article is from a time when we had no clue where the Lusitanians had lived. --Lihamestari 08:37, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
